Bernard Parent
Associate Professor, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
Dr. Bernard Parent obtained his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at McGill University in 1996, and his PhD at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies in 2002. He is the lead developer of the Computational Fluid Dynamics code CFDWARP which has the unique capabilities to efficiently simulate the coupling between non-neutral plasma sheaths and the quasi-neutral plasma flow. This permits more accurate simulations of the species created by plasma discharges used in plasma-assisted combustion for scramjets or in plasma injectors for semiconductor manufacturing.
Area of Expertise
Simulations of plasma and reacting flows, computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
